My name is Erin (a.k.a. Super-Geek Erin, a.k.a. Rap-style Erin a.k.a. Er-head, a.k.a. Mommy).
I love being a mom. The sights, the smells, the hugs, the head butts to the gut, playing light-sabers and knights, trains and dolls and making “tea” with weeds from the backyard, stepping on toys at all hours of the day and night, getting up at 6am to drag my 5 year old out of bed for a hockey practice while whining incessantly (me, not him)… beaming with pride when he finally learns to stop without slamming into the boards. All of it.

When I fell in love with Super-Nerd Jon (a.k.a. J.P., a.k.a. Daddy), the equation never included children… at least it wasn’t on the radar at that point. We were just kids, 20 and 22 years old.
When Jon’s super sperm broke through our barriers and James was conceived, we weren’t sure what we were in for. Then it happened again (Julia). And again (Josie). It’s been an interesting adventure getting to grow up WITH our kids, and in some ways completely regressing into children once again.

With this blog, my main goal is to share our family and what we’ve learned as parents- about our kids and about ourselves. I’ll be posting recipes, activities, stories, pictures, links and general nonsense that I think is amusing and you probably will think is just nonsense.
Thanks for reading!
